Nathan Schumann is a 6th grade math and science teacher at Gaylord Intermediate School. He has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from Saginaw Valley State University. Prior to working for Gaylord Community Schools, Mr. Schumann has worked for eight years in fifth grade at Kalkaska Public Schools and one year for State Street Academy in Bay City. At Kalkaska Public Schools he created an after school Lego Robotics program for six years and was part of the technology committee.
Mr. Schumann married his wife Kristen who is a native of Gaylord. They have three children Luke, Nora, and Leah. He was a coach this year to his children's tee-ball team and an assistant coach in soccer. In his spare time, Mr. Schumann enjoys doing things with his family and friends, camping, bike riding, swimming, and hunting. He is excited to teach students at Gaylord Intermediate School and be a part of the community.
